Professional

Ed Haller is a financial representative for the Pittsburgh Network Office of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He is responsible for his personal financial services business. Ed graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network directly out of college.

Ed also recently received his CLU designation. The CLU designation is one of the highest levels of study in the life insurance profession. It helps Ed to provide a wider array of solutions for his clients' personal needs, including income replacement, estate analysis, and wealth transfer. He takes great pride in providing a higher level of service to his clients.

Ed is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and currently resides in the South Side Slopes. In his spare time, Ed enjoys playing golf and squash, wakeboarding, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He is also heavily involved in the community.

Community Service

Girls Hope
On August 5, 2006, Ed Haller participated in the Girls Hope's Annual Fundraiser Kickball for Hope. It took place at Mellon Park and raised over $9000. Girls Hope provides quality education for young, deprived females through value-centered, family-like homes.

Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Program (PUMP)
Ed Haller is an active member in the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Program. PUMP is an organization of young and young-thinking people helping to create a dynamic, engaging, and diverse place to live through unique events and political motivation.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Earlier this year, Ed Haller volunteered at a Penguins dinner for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Through volunteer hours and fundraising, Ed plays an active role in this important organization. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation assures the development of the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

United Way
Ed Haller, through the Pittsburgh Network Office, helps contribute to the United Way of Allegheny County. In 2005, he helped raise $52,466.

St. Edmund's Academy
Ed Haller is also one of the seven members of the Alumni Council of St. Edmund's Academy. The council meets regularly to plan activities to bring alumni together as well as discuss new initiatives to connect and cultivate relationships with SEA alumni.

Duquesne Club
In addition, Ed Haller is also a Chairman of the Junior/Intermediate Member Committee of the local Duquesne Club. Beyond business, members look to the Club for the camaraderie fostered by social events that bring them together for entertainment and relaxation.

The Neighborhood Academy
The Neighborhood Academy (The Academy) exists to provide a holistic college-prep education for students in grades 8-12 who come from low income families. Ed Haller is on the Junior Development Board and works with other young professionals to raise awareness about the school, as well as help to plan and run their annual Faces of the Future Gala.
